Mubasher: The main index of the Muscat Securities Market (MSM) saw a decline of 2.38% in the week that ended on 20 July, as it lost 122.01 points, and closed at the level of 4,999.37 points.

The Market capital decreased by 1.11% to OMR 17.37 billion down from OMR 17.57 billion in the week before, losing OMR 195.21 million.

The benchmark index was dragged down by the stocks of the services, financial, and industrial sectors, as they fell by 3.75%, 0.62%, and 0.27%, respectively.

National Gas led the decliners and dropped 13.71%, followed by Ooredoo, and Phoenix Power with 7.23%, and 6.5%, respectively.

On the other hand, Oman Fisheries led the rising stocks as it gained 10.43%, followed by Ahli Bank with 4.17%.

Traded volumes surged 66.7% to 83.6 million shares, compared 50.13 million shares last week, while traded values jumped 111.75% to OMR 21.45 million from OMR 10.13 million.
